In a bizarre collaboration that defies usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal announcement, "An unusual meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine group.
The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
